But some men joined him and believed, among whom also were Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them.” Acts 17:32-34  Ministering to both poor and rich, we have had a great last week of ministry with different responses to the Gospel, “I have good Karma”, “I’’m keeping the laws”, “All we need to do is love and the world will have peace”, “I used to be a Christian”, “I’m a good person” and “I’ve been thinking about that lately”.  We have had responses anywhere from running away from being under conviction, another was challenged in their Christian faith, some walls were broken and gained ears to listen, others were softened by the power of God’s word, one that was demon possessed was in turmoil by

Mission Possible Week 3 Calgary & Edmonton

Mission Possible Week 3 Open Air Evangelism in Calgary & Edmonton As a team our eyes have been opened this week. Compared to the crowds we can get during a sketch-board message at home in Maryland, it is very much different in Canada.  At times we have been scratching our heads and asking ourselves, "Is this really worth it?" or "Are we making a difference?”, however, I believe that God spoke to our hearts this week saying that the number doesn't matter, but He was using us to speak truth to those that He was calling to Himself. I cannot honestly remember a time in ministry where I have seen so many conversations that I truly do believe were Divine appointments. I was in awe seeing how God brought those conversations about and drew those people by at the perfect time. Mission Possible Week 2 Two VBS's for Penbrooke Church Plant This week we have been working with a church plant pastor and conducting two Answers In Genesis, Gold Rush themed VBS "The Bible is a Gold Mine" - songs, Bible Hangman puzzle, puppets, Gospel trick, Bible story, snack, skit, craft, and games. Then on Saturday we did open air evangelism to adults on the streets of Calgary.  With the spreading of sickness in the team, heat exhaustion, and wiriness, only through Christ have we been able to put up the good fight and in His strength keep pushing on.  The teens this week have been amazing. If you can imagine having two VBS's each day, one in the afternoon and one in the evening, doing VBS prep, food prep, personal and group devotions etc. the team has had very little down time, but they have continued to put a smile on their face, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses
